Known as a pioneer of modern preventive cardiology, Arthur Agatston MD, FACC is a renowned cardiologist best known for his contribution to medicine by the development of the “Agatston Score.”
Dr. Agatston is also an expert in nutrition, and has authored a New York Times #1 best seller, “The South Beach Diet,” as well as 12 other nutrition, cardiac prevention and gluten-related books that have sold more than 23 million copies in 33 languages worldwide. In addition, he has written more than 200 scientific papers and abstracts, and has been recognized as one of Time magazine’s annual “Time 100” most influential individuals.
Dr. Agatston co-created the first Preventive Cardiovascular Fellowship at the Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart & Vascular Center.
