Healthy Aging & Preventive Medicine

At The Agatston Center, we believe prevention is the foundation of lifelong health. Our Healthy Aging & Preventive Medicine program is an exclusive service available only to our members — designed to optimize wellness, extend healthspan, and detect disease long before symptoms appear.

Innovation in Preventive Care

Our team, led by Dr. Arthur Agatston, is pioneering new approaches to proactive medicine. Through our collaborative research relationships, we are contributing to the development of the Agatston 2.0 protocol, an AI-enhanced low-radiation coronary calcium scoring to deliver personalized, predictive care. This technology, at no extra charge to our patients, offer evolving FDA-approved insights, such as bone mineral density

This next-generation approach allows us to:
• Identify cardiovascular and metabolic risks earlier than ever before
• Create tailored prevention plans based on each patient’s unique profile
• Continuously evolve through collaboration with leading institutions and technologies

Publications & Academic Leadership

Drs. Agatston and Mechanic have collaborated on preventive medicine publications, including:

  • Pathophysiology of Coronary Artery Disease and “Feed Forward”, Journal of Preventive Cardiology
  • AI-CVD-AF: A Novel Atrial Fibrillation Prediction Model Based on Coronary Artery Calcium Scans, Heartlung.AI Team
  • GAMEFILM Registry: Using CTA Measures to Define Cardiac Risk in NFL Alumni, Heartflow
  • Clinical and philanthropic support for various academic endeavors including the creation of the first preventive cardiovascular fellowship at the Houston Methodist DeBakey Heart and Vascular Center, UCSF (work of Dr. Ron Krauss), Agatston Urban Nutrition Initiative, SCCT Arthur S. Agatston Award, and work with Houston Methodist

Speaking & Education
